the line “Allah is not even SPEAKING to the murderer. They are not even worth talking to” reminds me of a question posed to a scholar “If Dajjal is so important & powerful, why isn’t it mentioned in the Holy Quran”.

The scholar replied that from Allah’s point of view, Dajjal is not even worth mentioning in His Book though he may be powerful & all. Also, it will be a test for the people who do not believe in the Ahadith but follow only the Quran…

@Ismaeel, wa’alikum as-salaam wa rahmatullah, sa’ara is baab two, the baab-one maadi form is sa’ara (سَعَرَ). Baab two is the more intense form; it means kindled and ignited again and again and again–like when there’s a bonfire in dunya, and you see little fires inside it igniting.

I’m not a native Arabic speaker either, so insha’Allah you can speak to your local imam or student of knowledge or scholar for more details.

My Question is about the Verb Sa33ara in the 12th ayah “Wa idhaa al ja7iimu Su33irat”

I don’t find in any dictionary the meaning for set ablaze or fire up except from As3ara. Maybe is that an old meaning of this verb ? Or maybe my dictionaries aren’t so complete ?

I precise I’m not a native arabic speaker.

Asalaamu alaikum. Jazzak Allahu for the time you have taken to put this explanation together in such a clear manner. First time on this site and Masha-Allah it is really beneficial, May Allah grant you success in your endeavours and make us of those who are within His Pleasure not His Anger.

I have been hunting online for tafseer lectures for ages, mostly I have found Juzz Amma and Suratul Faatiha & Al Baqarah. If you know of any other good audio tafaaseer online please let us know.

Ahdarat also means prepared. A soul on that day will think back and know what it has, or hasn’t, prepared for this day.

“Allah is not even SPEAKING to the murderer. They are not even worth talking to. Instead, He asks the victim.” I read this very interesting observation in Prof. Mustafa Khurramdel’s Nur Tafsir. It is nice to see it here again by another mufassir.
