I’ve been thinking about studying the arabic language – but for me, a self-study option is most befitting, and Alhamdulillah, from reading this article its actually given me the “push” to know that it is possible to do.

InshaAllah, next step – purchasing some books that you’ve recommended, then onto learning Arabic b’ithnillah Ta’Ala!

Different people will learn for different reasons. Just like different people become Muslim for different reasons–some because their boyfriend was Muslim.

However, there’s NO DOUBT that knowing it will increase you in your eman (when you hear the Qur’an). There’s also a ceiling to how much you can learn without Arabic.

Wallahu ta’ala ‘alim.

Does the motivation of learning Arabic comes from the Iman? I’ve ever learnt it but only the basics because I know that it is a beautiful language, and that I have no reason that I learned it to understand my prayers and Qur’an.

I want to learn, because I like how it is talked only.

wa iyyaki! Alhamdulillah, that ayah is my motivation as well…how can something be difficult if Allah ta’ala emphasizes how easy He made it?! Allahu Akbar.

JAK for this great article! I’m so glad you mentioned this ayah occurring 4 times in the surah. When someone told me Arabic would be too hard to learn, so I shouldn’t even try, I looked it up and was surprised myself to see it repeated like that. Since then I’ve always emphasized it whenever I find anyone discouraging my study of it by saying it’s too hard.
