As-Salamu-Alaikum!
Does anyone know the origins of the number of rakaats per fard salat?
That is, WHY does Fajr have 2, Maghrib 3, and all the others 4 rakaats?
WHEN did it occur & HOW was it communicated?
Is there a hadith or book you can refer me to?
Jazakallah!
