Alhamdulillah, looking forward to the rest.
I’d gotten from a M.Alshareef lecture about the “life is toil” thing, a good reminder whenever life begins to feel like it’s too much. It’s just how it is, and if we live fisibilillah, there’s a reward on the way (bi-ithnillah).

Someone might ask, what about the hadith that begins with “life is a joy and the best joy is a good/pious wife,” how does that reconcile with this ayah here? Allahu a’lam, I’m not sure, but it seems to me that both can be true at the same time. Life has ups and downs, after all; or perhaps that is specific, and this ayah is general; Allahu a’lam.
