Who Can Recite a Third of the Qur’an Tonight?

I'll tell you who can. YOU!
Thats right my brothers and sisters, recite a third of the Qur'an in just one minute every night!
How?
Al-Bukhari (رحمالله) recorded from Abu Sa`id (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said to his Companions, "Is one of you not able to recite a third of the Qur'an in a single night?" This was something that was difficult for them and they said, "Which of us is able to do that, O Messenger of Allah?" So he (صلي الله عليه وسلم) replied, "'Say: Allah is the One, As-Samad' is a third of the Qur'an."
Subhanallah! Going to sleep? Get the reward for reciting a third of the Qur'an by reciting Surah Ikhlas. Waiting in a line? No problem! Take advantage and reap the rewards.
If you're feeling brave, why not try for the WHOLE Qur'an and see how far you get?
Let's take advantage. Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) has surely made it easy for us to reap His rewards, so what are we waiting for? Everyone recite it now and earn the reward and blessings of Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

Mashallah really great reminder!
Something to ponder:Why is it considered as if we’ve read 1/3rd of the FULL Quran? How much do we ‘mean’ it when we recite it?

Assalamu Alaikum bro,
Are you sure you have the hadith right, with the correct narrators, and even the correct text. Please make sure, and it would be helpful if you could post the Arabic text in the future.

Sahih Muslim: Book 004, Number 1772:
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) came out to us and said: I am going to recite before you one-third of the Qur’an. He (the Holy Prophet) then recited:” Say: He is Allah, One–Allah, the Eternal,” to the end of the Surah.

Jazak Allah Khair brother. The hadith that was stated is correct, as reported by Bukhari and a similar hadith is reported by Muslim. The one mentioned in the post reported by Bukhari is mentioned in Tafseer Ibn Kathir, which can be located here: http://abdurrahman.org/qurantafseer/ibnkathir/
